- The house preservation project was funded by grants from the State of Nevada Commission for Cultural Affairs and by generous community and member support. The Morelli House is listed on the National (2012), State (2001), and City (2007) Registers of Historic Places. It was awarded the State Historical Preservation Award (2007), the City Preservation Award (2007) and the first Mayor’s Urban Design Award for Historical Preservation (2008). The pubic program for the Morelli House received Nevada Humanities’ Outstanding 2014 Humanities Project Award for its Copa Connection Program series.
