Opportunities for the Public to Visit the Morelli House

As the Morelli House is privately owned by the Junior League and serves as its administrative headquarters, it is only open to the general public during pre-scheduled group tours, public tours held throughout the year, and during special educational programs related to the house.  By special arrangement, the Morelli House may be used as a meeting site by other non-profit groups, limited to once a year, depending upon availability.  The Morelli House is not available for private social events or for fundraising events by other non-profit groups. For more information about these opportunities, contact the Junior League office secretary at (702)822-6536.

The Morelli House is located at 861 East Bridger Avenue, on the northwest corner of 9th and Bridger Streets in downtown Las Vegas.

The Morelli House will be open to the Public on our Tour Days held throughout the year the second Saturday of the month till May. The tours are about an hour long and start at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, and 1:00 PM. There is no admission charge. Our Tour Days will begin again in the fall.

Prescheduled Group Tours at the Morelli House

The Junior League’s Morelli House Public Program Committee conducts group tours upon request for groups of ten or more people.  The tour, which lasts about 45 minutes to an hour, is conducted by Junior League volunteer docents who explain the history and architecture of the house; the life and times of its original owners, Antonio and Helen Morelli; and the interesting story about the preservation project itself.  There is no charge for the tour, but donations are always welcome. To make arrangements for a group tour, call the Junior League office secretary at (702) 822-6536.

Public Open House Events

Public Open House events at the Morelli House are scheduled throughout the year when Morelli House docents will be on hand to give guided tours.   Occasionally, there are special exhibits or programs held in tandem during these open house events. The open house events  are free and open to the public and are advertised in the local media and on the Morelli House and Junior League of Las Vegas Websites.

Public Educational Programs

The Junior League presents special educational and cultural programs related to the Morelli House and Las Vegas mid century history in order further the educational mission of the preservation project.  These programs are advertised in the local media and on the Morelli House and Junior League of Las Vegas Websites.
