Opportunities for the Public to Visit the Morelli House
As the Morelli House is privately owned by the Junior League and serves as its administrative headquarters, it is only open to the general public during monthly docent-guided tours, private pre-scheduled group tours, and during special events and cultural programs related to the house. By special arrangement, the Morelli House also may be used as a meeting site by non-profit and corporate groups, and as a photo shoot location for private and commercial shoots, depending upon availability. The Morelli House is not available for private social events or for fundraising events by other groups. For more information about these opportunities, contact the Junior League office at (702)822-6536 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Morelli House is located at 861 East Bridger Avenue, on the northwest corner of 9th and Bridger Streets in downtown Las Vegas.
Public Docent-Guided Tours
The Morelli House generally is open to the Public for Docent-Guided Tours held the second Saturday September through November and January through May. The tours are about one (1) hour long and start at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, and 1:00 PM. During each tour, a Junior League volunteer docent explains the history and architecture of the house; the life and times of its original owners, Antonio and Helen Morelli; and the interesting story about the preservation project itself. The admission charge is $5.00. Additional donations are welcome.
Private Prescheduled Group Tours
The Junior League’s Morelli House Public Program Committee conducts private group tours upon request. The admission charge for a private tour is $100 for up to ten people (with an additional charge of $10.00 per person for groups in excess of ten). Additional donations are welcome. To make arrangements for a private group tour, call the Junior League office at (702) 822-6536 or email email@example.com.
Special Events and Public Cultural Programs
The Junior League occasionally presents special events and cultural programs related to the Morelli House and Las Vegas mid-century history in order further the educational mission of the preservation project. These programs are advertised in the local media and on the Morelli House and Junior League of Las Vegas Websites.
