Friday, May 9, “Alive From the Copa,” a jazz concert presented by the Las Vegas Academy together with a pre-concert lecture presentation by Michael Green and a post-concert reception hosted by JLLV at the Historic Morelli House.
Saturday, September 20, “An Evening at the Copa,” a celebration of Frank Sinatra with author, Tom Santoprieto and singer, Tony DeSare at the Historic 5th Street School, 7:30 p.m. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. enjoy dancing and no-host cocktails. Following the performance, enjoy a night-cap at the Morelli House hosted by the Junior League.
Saturday, October 25, “The Sands: A Place in the Sun,” Museum Exhibit and Opening Program. Beginning at 1 p.m., distinguished historians Dr. Larry Gragg, Dr. Eugene Moehring, Su Kim Chung and Dr. Michael Green discuss the Sand’s impact on Las Vegas development during the 50’s and 60’s. The exhibit showcases the modern visual branding strategies used by the Sands throughout their entertainment promotions, architecture, décor, and advertising. This free public program is co-produced by the Junior League and the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas.
