Clothing Donations for the Morelli House Vintage Clothing Collection

The Junior League is actively seeking donations of vintage women’s mid-century clothing for its “Morelli Models” program that is showcased during special events and open house tours at the Morelli House. The collection includes dresses, suits, coats, hats, handbags, costume jewelry, and other accessories. If you are interested in donating items for the collection, please read the following guidelines and call the Junior League office manager at 702-822-6536 who will put you in contact with the current Morelli House Public Program Chairman.

Morelli House Vintage Clothing Collection Donation Policy and Guidelines

The purpose of the collection is to enhance the Morelli House Public Program’s interpretation of Antonio and Helen Morelli’s mid-century Las Vegas lifestyle between l954-1975. Antonio Morelli was well known as the orchestra leader at the Sand’s Hotel Showroom in Las Vegas, Nevada during the mid twentieth century.

The collection represents women’s high style clothing that might have been worn by Helen Morelli and her friends reflective of Mrs. Morelli’s social status in the community. The Morellis’ held positions of influence in the entertainment industry and were involved in many philanthropic and cultural activities in Las Vegas.

The collection includes dresses, suits, coats, hats, handbags, costume jewelry, and other accessories.

Donations made to the collection are gratefully accepted and shall be acknowledged in a timely manner by the Junior League of Las Vegas, a 501 C.3 nonprofit, private organization. The donations may be tax deductible. The donor, not the committee, shall determine the value of the donation for tax deductible purposes.

The Morelli House Public Program Committee reserves the right to refuse items based upon appropriateness, condition, and storage limitations.

The Morelli House Public Program Committee, in its sole judgement, may de-access articles from the collection at any time and shall make no guarantees to donors that the articles shall be held for any specified period of time.
